Yfoundations has lodged a submission to the Fair Work Commission’s gender undervaluation review of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHADS Award, matter AM2024/21). We welcome recognition that SCHADS workers have been undervalued, but raise serious concerns about applying the Carer benchmark and the proposed classification structure to homelessness services.
