Yfoundations has just launched a new report on regional and remote youth homelessness services visits conducted throughout July 2025.

Yfoundations staff visited youth homelessness service providers (both members and non-members) in four regions across NSW: Mid North Coast, Northern Rivers, Central West and the South Coast. This report captures and encapsulates what we saw and heard from these services.

The findings from these visits complemented insights gained from our community of practice for staff working in regional and remote areas, which explored geographic and systemic barriers to effective service delivery. These insights are highlighted in the analysis that opens the report.

A summary of the key themes that emerged from the visits ends the report and reflects the range (and, in large part, commonality) of challenges that exist for homelessness services and in service delivery in regional and remote areas across the state.
