PLATFORM 1225 – 2024 Conference and Workshop

Homelessness and social exclusion is about poverty and disadvantage. Having a safe place to call home is a fundamental human right.

Holistic responses to the wellbeing of all in our society and systems are needed. This is particularly so for children and young people who experience life and our systems through a specific developmental and experiential lens.

Queensland Youth Housing Coalition's Platform 1225 is a forum for all to come together across government and non-government sectors to address these vital issues. Prevention of homelessness and early intervention are key. The earlier we intervene when a child or young person experiences homelessness, the shorter their experience of homelessness is likely to be.

This year Platform 1225 will include a conference on 15 May followed by a workshop for Specialist Youth Homelessness Services on 16 May.
