In January 2023, Yfoundations provided a submission to the Housing and Mental Health Agreement 2022 Consultation Framework. 

Our submission highlights the alarming rate of young people in NSW experiencing or at risk of homelessness and presenting to SHS with mental health issues, signaling the need for the NSW State Government to ensure they are considered strongly in the Housing and Mental Health Agreement 2022.

It also highlights the need for a ‘youth-specific lens’ in the HMHA 22 State Steering Committee to address current failings, gaps and inadequacies of the current service system.
